By using ÉclairBTC, you agree to these Terms.
 

2. What We Provide

ÉclairBTC provides tools that allow merchants to:

• Accept Bitcoin payments (including Lightning and Liquid)

• Manage transactions and payment flows

• Operate self-custodial payment systems

 
We do not:

• Take custody of your funds

• Control your wallet or private keys

• Act as a bank, broker, or financial intermediary

 
 
3. Self-Custody & Responsibility

ÉclairBTC is designed for self-sovereign use.

You are fully responsible for:

• Your private keys and wallets

• Securing your hardware (e.g., POS terminal)

• Backups and recovery procedures

• Verifying payment details before accepting transactions

 
If you lose access to your self-sovereign wallet, we cannot recover your funds.
 

4. Fees

ÉclairBTC may charge fees for certain services. These may include:

• Service or platform fees

• Integration or support fees

 
Network-related fees (e.g., Lightning routing fees, swap fees via third parties like Boltz) are not controlled by us.
 
All fees will be disclosed where applicable.
 

5. Third-Party Services
 
ÉclairBTC may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Lightning nodes, swap providers, infrastructure tools).

We are not responsible for:

• Downtime or failures of third-party services

• Loss of funds due to third-party systems

• Changes in third-party fees or policies

 
Your use of those services is at your own risk.
 

6. No Financial Advice

ÉclairBTC does not provide:

• Financial advice

• Investment advice

• Tax or legal advice

 
You are solely responsible for:

• Compliance with local laws and regulations

• Tax reporting related to Bitcoin transactions

 

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ÉclairBTC for:

• Illegal activities

• Fraudulent transactions

• Violating sanctions or applicable laws

 
We reserve the right to suspend access if misuse is detected.
 

8. Service Availability
 
We aim to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee:

• Continuous uptime

• Error-free operation

• Compatibility with all devices or environments

 
The Service is provided “as is”.
 

9. Limitation of Liability
